Kel, sorry to hear you ended up in hospital but I'm glad you're OK. Sounds like you got one real active baby in there 😄 The next two weeks should fly for you especially given you've got your twins bday party and your 40th!! Big milestone to celebrate!! What do you have planned for Christmas? I'm lucky I don't have to do anything as we've been invited to family for lunch. Good luck with your OB appointment today, let us know how you go.

6 years trying, so happy to hear your scan went well, congrats!! Fantastic news. You must be so relieved! Do take it easy and look after yourself.

Kath, you poor thing sounds like you're working far too hard! Christmas is just round the corner, will you have a nice break then?? You're just about 20 wks half way right?? How exciting!! Are you feeling more movements now? I hope you can take it easy as much as possible, look after yourself.

AFM, I'm doing OK, nothing much exciting with being stuck on bedrest. I'm worried I'm gaining more weight than I should be with the lack of activity. From today I'm off the progesterone shots so real glad about that. The dr said it might help with the headaches which I am still getting daily, last night was horrible again. I have no choice but to take painkillers for these nasty headaches. I'm glad in a way I am home and not working because dont think I'd survive at work with these headaches. I've told work that I won't be back till at least the 20 Jan and well by then ill be just over 20 wks and based on what the dr has said he won't let me go back to work anyway. But I can let them know later. I'm in the process of being weaned off the dexamethasone, yayy!! I'm constantly still running to pee but I must say its alot better at night time in the second trimester compared to the first. We're 15 weeks this Thursday and real excited that things are progressing well so far!!

    Take care everyone,
    Mary

Kell, so glad everything is alright. Not long at all now.

Mary, I woke at midnight last night, didn't know why at first, then noticed some definite movement. I think that is what woke me. Smack on 18 weeks!!

    Have a good day girls.

Kath, that's awesome! Can't wait till New Years, ill be 18 weeks and hopefully feel movement too. Hey when is your due date? We might be having our babies close together as I'm having a c-section at 38 weeks on 23 May. You're probably due around then??

Mary, I am due May 13, I am hoping the hospital will let me try to give birth naturally, but my last two were c/s, so I would have to go into labour on my own, and baby's head would need to be down, otherwise, it is a csection for me also. If baby isnt headfirst a week before my due date, it will be c/s.
I hate having c/s, but I wont put baby in any danger.

Kath, we're only 10 days apart given I'm booked in 2 weeks early. The dr insists on a c-section for me. I'm not arguing cause he assures me it's safer for me and frankly by that stage I think I'll be happy to have it over with quickly via c-section. The recovery after worries me alittle but I guess it will just take a few weeks.

Mary , that is very wise of your doctor. It would be the safest option for you. If I didn't have a choice, I would just accept it, but if it is safe for bub, i just want another vaginal birth. I just hate the recovery after c/s. But like I have said before, if there is even the slightest risk to bub, well, it just has to be a c/s.
Are you showing yet? My tummy is huge!!!
I laid down after dinner earlier, and could feel bub moving again, so I was happy. In fact, I just had some more, while typing . Must be getting bigger.
You will love it when you can feel some movement, it is the best feeling in the world. You just feel so connected with bub, it is definitely when the bonding starts.

    Kath,

Its hard to tell whether I'm showing or not because I was overweight to begin with. Although hubby mentioned last night that he thinks I'm starting to show and I can definately feel more of a belly. My jeans are also just about too tight on me. It's exciting once the baby bump starts to pop out more and more. What about you? When did you start to show? We're 15 wks tomorrow, yayy!!

Hi Girls, So pleased that you are all going well.
Kath, I was the same as you. 18 weeks when I got movement. Such a exciting time. I agree, you start to feel like you are bonding to the baby.
6 years of trying, Hope your resting up and all is going great.
Rae, Thinking of you. Hope you are doing well.
AFM, Went to see OB yesterday. He said my c-section will most likely be on the 27th of Dec. That is only 2 weeks and 1 day to go. Feeling like a beached whale. I hate the heat. I have lost 1/2 kg in the last fornight. I am pleased about that. Still huge through. Blood preasure was normal. I am still hanging in there.
Look after yourselfs and take care Kel xxx

Mary, I have been showing since 8 weeks, just a little, and each week got a little bigger. My first check up (12weeks) with gp I was 1kg lighter than day of epu, and my check up last week I was back to my normal weight, so I have obviously lost it in other places, because my belly is big for 18 weeks.
