Hugs Gentoo. Hide it away as you will be pregnant again soon and use it!

Hansmum - my first AF was much heavier than normal, longer and had spotting days before which I don't normally get. I mentioned that to my specialist at my 6 wk checkup and he said it is normal for AF to be wacky for the first few months after a miscarriage or any pregnancy for that matter. Painful periods suck so I hope they return to normal soon!!!

AFM - not much to report. Lots of baby making in progress here as its O time!

Sorry to those I've missed - I struggle to type on my phone!

I'm a bit confused at the moment - think I've O'ed (or at least attempted to) even though there's still HCG in my system.

It's now 3 weeks since my D&C. My HCG was quite high (39,000 two days before the op) so it's taking a while to come down. I stopped getting positives on IC HPTs a week ago but can still get a line on a FRER, so I'm guessing my HCG is <100ish but more than 25. I tried a few OPKs last week and was getting REALLY strong lines (darker than on the HPTs) so figured it was picking up HCG. I was also getting lots of EW CM leading up to the weekend, but thought it was just my body being confused. However, based on my BBT it looks like I tried to O on Saturday - so maybe the OPKs were picking up both HCG and LH (hence being so dark).

We inadvertantly DTD a few times around O day, so I guess we're in with a small chance (if there actually was an egg released and it was better quality than the last fizzer). I realise I'm getting ahead of myself, but if AF doesn't arrive 14 days after O day, I'm going to wonder if I'm pregnant again or if my body is still settling down after the MC. A +ve HPT wouldn't provide any answers either, because it could still be residual HCG from the MC. I guess I'll just keep POAS and see what happens. In some ways, I'd actually like to get AF, because at least it would mean I can start from scratch and not have all this uncertainty about what on earth is going on with my body.

I hope everyone is getting along okay this week and that the newcomers are starting to feel a little better both physically and emotionally. Hugs to you all!

Good luck with the baby making NicT!

It's a bit quiet around here, I hope everyone is well and heading in the right direction.

Gentoo - I totally know what you mean. My first cycle felt so different and I just knew that I wasn't going to fall pregnant that cycle as it just didn't feel right. It was upsetting to get AF nonetheless - almost like another confirmation that being pregnant was over. But after a couple of days I was much more positive as it felt like I would be back to normal again and be in with a better chance. I hope if you aren't pregnant already, that you will be back on track again.

Hansmumc - enjoy your retail therapy!!!

Default TTC After Miscarriage Support Thread! #3

    Hi lovely ladies!

I've been stalking for a while now but figured I should come out of the closet!

A bit about us, We initially did ICSI IVF due to MFI no luck there sadly gave up tried to move on (always thinking about the what ifs). After a few years decided it wasn't happening so I gave my dad a kidney (acute renal failure - thought that this was another to give life IYKWIM) in August last year!

Fast forward to Feb and I'm pregnant completely unexpectedly to say I was excited doesn't even begin to cover it! All was well until 12 weeks when I went to the bathroom and notice blood. Started to die inside. Rang DF and hospital went straight down where the ultrasound confirmed that our miracle wasn't meant to be, and had stopped growing at 8 weeks!

Do April 22 the cramps have intensified and I have started to miscarry at home the day before my D&C, ask DF to take me to the hospital where they checked me and basically removed the baby with forceps and tweezers.

I had the D&C that morning to ensure nothing was retained!

Sorry seems like a long winded response but even now am only getting used to talking about it as what should have been my EDD draws closer!

I have decided to get a tattoo for my angel with the birth flower of the due month and the stone of the D&C month so that he/she is never forgotten!

We haven't given up trying and infancy had a chem last month do I'm ever hopeful for a peanut!

Good luck to everyone and I hope that baby dust surrounds you all

I have been fine. I take a 1000mg dose once per day- no bad side effects at all. Plus the bleeding stopped and the next day ewcm. I am hopeful to ovulate in the next day or so !!

Maybe you should try a one a day dose?
