Uhm to be honest, I'm really upset with the FS. She was a right biatch to be honest and I won't be going back to her anytime soon! First time I saw her she was really lovely but this time she was just a pessimistic biatch! She was unhappy that I'm on Vitex (mind you she doesn't even know what it is or what it does!!) and she said, "You need to decide right now. Are you going the natural route or the real medical route?" What the?? Why can't I do both? Why can't I see a naturopath and a FS? I wanted to smack her face so bad! Anyways, now that we know I ovulated, we wait and see as I'm about 11dpo. I will wait until 16dpo and if AF hasn't arrived, I will be testing. If a BFN and no AF, then I'll wait another week and then I'm supposed to test again just to be sure and then take Provera to bring on AF so we shall wait and see!

Thanks CozWesty, wow that's awful for your friend!! At least I know that others have experienced a similar situation, which gives me hope.

FirstTime, that's great that you ovulated , but I'm sorry to hear that the appointment with the FS didn't go well. It's so upsetting when you experience negativity from doctors, especially in such a delicate situation as after experiencing loss!! I was also on Vitex for a few months and I didn't find that it helped me but I don't see why you can't still be on it and seeing the FS ?

Well I had my scan today and the sonogropher was I'd say about 5 months pregnant, it was extremely awkward for both of us I can tell you! (My friend also announced that her baby was born on the morning I was miscarrying so I'm pretty sure the universe is playing a sick joke on me now).

The sonogropher said the endometrium looked thin, which is apparently good, but that there was still a little fluid in there, but she didn't think I'd need a D&C.

I'm feeling rubbish. Shaky, drained and sore. Doesn't help that DH is away for work interstate for three days.

Hope everyone is having a better day today.

Ftm yay for ovulating. Sorry that you and your fs don't get on. I also don't see why you can't combine both. I remember asking my ob about raspberry leaf tea before da was born. He said he had no oponion either way. If i wanted to take it that was fine. I think they need to be open to natural therapies.

Hoping- the fluid will settle. I also had fluid and I ovulated, I think about a week or two after that. I was also still bleeding two weeks after.

Fever here! 38 degrees and rigors (the shakes). I need to go get ds soon. No tv for him either as he was rude this am. Am expecting tantrums.... Of o am utd it isn't s good start. Unlikely I think.

Nic - sounds like it will be summer by the time it's actually fixed! At least it gives you an excuse to be holed up in your room and avoiding your ex!

Luey - I hope the sickness passes. DD gets nothing but TV when I'm sick! I'd be giving yours a waiver for the bad behaviour just this once so you can relax and get better! Maybe switch to panadiene, but the last thing I read now called ibuprofen as safe during preg anyhow.

Hoping - good news that you don't need a D&C, hopefully you'll also start to feel a bit better soon too. It sounds like you have a good doctor now and hopefully soon you might have some answers and, even better, some action to take to help you get your sticky baby.

FTM - yay on knowing you ovulated! Bummer that FS was rude though. I'm surprised they're not even open to any natural therapies since many FS seem to encourage accupuncture etc. I know my OB has a big jar of raspberry leaves in one of the consult rooms - but he's also known for being very pro-natural, pro-VBAC so possibly not your run-of-the-mil OB either.

CozWesty - yay for AF returning. I hope this is a nice on-time cycle for you!

Bluelips - glad the D&C went without complications. My bleeding lasted for a few weeks then I ovulated a week after it stopped and AF 2 weeks later. I hope work isn't too tough with all you're going through.

Spideysmummy - I get asked too often when we'll be having #2. Unfortunately as I've put on about 10kgs since my 1st loss (and I carry weight in my middle) people I haven't seen in a while are quite curious, which is hard. I hope the lady was right for you.

Del - will they contact you sooner if there's a problem with the bloods? Hopefully tomorrow brings reassuring news for you. Will they do another scan soon too?

AFM - Super dark OPK this morning, slightly less dark this afternoon and cramps today which, looking back through my diary, seems to happen on O day so I'm hoping my great efforts (DH was super-super tired, but I didn't let him off that easily!) last night pay off. Officially 0dpo in the 2ww!

keep up every 2nd day if you want to and you can convince your DH. After all it is *supposed* to be fun although the fun does seem to get sucked out. Trying is really really hard.

    hey ladies.

Just a quick hello to all. Im going to try to start doing personals!! Im not very good at them so I will read back and give it a go next post

AFM - After having the trip to hospital on Sunday morning, I ended up just after midnight back there in an ambulance. Id taken panadene and endone and was SCREAMING in pain so DH called an ambulance, and they had to give me morphine just to ease my pain a little. I had a whole lot more tests and an U/S and it seems I have a stomach ulcer So now I have to see a specialist to get the camera thing put down to see whats happening! Arrgghh!! Worst pain ever!

    On the up side..

I saw the Naturopath(she also does iridology) today. Absolutely lovely lady! I explained to her all about my hormones etc and she said my hormones are ALL over the place and no wonder I am feeling the way I am. She gave me a herbal mix which is made up of
    - Sherperds Purse (for heavy bleeding)
    - Vitex (to balance the hormones and endo)
    - Peony (PCOS)
    - Licorice (PCOS)
    - Wild Yam (cramping and pain)

Which will hopefully help rebalance out my hormones and get me on the right track. Im feeling really confident about this too. It tastes really grosse but Im willing to deal with that twice a day if its going to help me!!

a quick question about OPKs.. I did my first one day (I ended up getting some off ebay) and it had a faint 2nd line. That still means a neg doesnt it?

Stretched, for the two week wait!! Which OPKs do you use? I've brought some from Oracle fertility before, I'm not sure about other brands. I tried the Clear Blue digitals one month but $60 later I had run out before I even ovulated!

Tormy - good luck with the tests today, hopefully you ovulate on Friday . I know what you mean about the pressure to DTD at the right time, it can become so stressful trying to time things, especially when your DH is away.

MadHouseMumma I'm so sorry to hear about your stomach ulcer that sounds horrendous!! Did the doctors recommend any treatment or medication before the camera? The naturopath sounds great. I saw one last year for a few months and she had me on Vitex, licorice root, probiotics and high strength fish oil (I also have endo), she thought my stomach and immune system were inflamed from previous illnesses and wanted to calm it all down before becoming pregnant again. I also used to use a Wild Yam cream for my endo many years ago and I actually found that it helped a little.

As for the opks, I'm no expert (I always become frustrated and lazy at using them because my cycles are so long), but as far as I know, the second line has to be as dark as or darker than the control line. I think some ladies do them twice a day as you can ovulate, say in the afternoon and if you did an opk in the evening you would miss your surge which would give you a positive result. I think I need to take my own advice and am going to buy a whole heap off the net today and do them twice a day as my bleeding has almost settled.

Back on the horse so to speak .

MHM - sorry to hear that you needed a trip to the hospital again, at least they have some idea what it is and hopefully the gastroscopy will be able to confirm exactly what's going on and what's the best treatment. Someone close to me had a lot of ongoing issues with ulcers (exacerbated by ignoring them/refusing to have the recommended surgery) so know how hard they can be to cope with.

Hoping - I never bothered with the supermarket ones because I've often had long cycles and could see I'd need 10 packets to get through just one cycle. I got mine from Pregnancyshop online. I think there are cheaper ones online too. I was very unimpressed by their HPTs not being as sensitive as they said, but you don't want your OPKs to be too sensitive or they will give a false positive. Not everyone has this pattern, but mine start to darken in the lead-up to ov (when my EWCM starts) so that's when I start testing twice a day. This is the second cycle I've used them and for me the + is definitely darker than control line. I get EWCM for 3 days with the + on the last day and then it stops and (like when I tested this morning) the line is back to quite light.

I'm hoping DHs lil guys were ready and waiting when my egg popped out yesterday as I was no chance for action when DH crawled into bed in the wee hours after finishing work. Looking forward to DTD tonight 'just for fun' !
