    Oh dear, that is shameful , my goodness, that Principal obviously doesn't remember what it was like to be a child....a child!

    Definitely something I would have dealt with in privacy, the little girl in question still deserves her pride and dignity. If I were her Mum, I would give the money back and explain to my child why we gave the money back etc.

    Terrible that it was privy to the whole assembly, but the residents in the street as well, my mouth is agape!

    Thats horrible I wouldnt let anyone do that to my child. Report it. That sounds very humiliating & probably scarred that poor kid

    I agree with comments above the poor girl didn't have to be humiliated in front of the whole school. That teacher sounds like an absolute tool.

    Hope you report it. I would be surprised if none of the parents at the assembly lodge complaints about how inappropriately the matter was dealt with.
