Default Certificate IV in Human Resources

Posting in here for more traffic.

I'm doing Certificate IV on HR and I'm a bit stuck, so hoping someone who has done it or is doing it can help me??

I've got to select a organization/company to look at and apply the various activities to. I was going to use the company DF works for but I don't have access to the information I need, unless he prints it all out from his works intranet for me but then that requires me to wait til he is able to do that for me, which isn't very productive for me.

    Suggestions? Help?

It really depends on what information you need.

It may be easier to select a not for profit type organization as they generally need to be more accountable and may have more info freely available.

Most of it so far seems to be about position descriptions and when they were last reviewed etc. Do I have to use the same company in all the acitivities etc right through the course, or can I chop and change?
I have emailed my teacher but they wont get back to me til Monday and thats 2 whole nights worth of study I will be missing out on!!

I would assume you could chop & change.

I always find government jobs to have very detailed position descriptions linked with their advertisements.

Not sure if that's any help to you.

DFs company is a govt company. It just doesn't have much information available to the general public.

    Argh so confusing!
