Well that's your opinion but doing a procedure yourself and doing a procedure at home are 2 totally different issues.

The dr who circumcised my boys was a jewish professional with 30yrs experience.

What about vaxxing- we stick needles in our kids repeatedly from birth, whats the difference between that and using a needle to pierce a babies ears?

Some people argue that vaxxing is unnecessary, and with some of the research I've done into vax, you're probably better off with the earrings

No. Correct. If done on a newborn, there is no anaesthetic used particularly when performed by a non-medical practitioner. I also don't count EMLA cream as an anaesthetic. It dulls pain, it doesn't totally alleviate it.

I think peircing babies ears is just wrong, esp doing it at home at 5 days old.I feel sorry for the poor bubba
Vax is a totally different ballpark IMO...Its not for cosmetic reasons for a start and hurts a hell of alot less....

    That poor baby girl

I thought my ex SIL was bad for getting my nieces ears pierced at 6 weeks old. 5 days old is just insane!

Must just be the Drs you have heard of.
DS1 was done at 4wks, with emla, then local
DS2 was done at 2wks, same thing.

It's hardly plastic surgery. You may think certain procedures aren't necessary or in the best interest of your children but others may have different views and you should show some respect.
