    Default Centrelink Question

    Hi Ladies,

I received a payment from the FAO today for a large amount of money. When I went in to the online services of the FAO is said "arrears payment of RCN"

I have no idea what this means. I can not find any info anywhere and I am concerned they are going to ask for it back!

    Any help much appreciated!

OMG! On Thursday... I had the exact same thing!

I had no idea either, so I went in yesterday to ask, because it was such a large amount. Turns out it was legit. They said it was a supplement for both family tax benefit A and B. It's based on the 2010-2011 financial year and they'd found that they hadn't paid me enough for that time.

We got a letter from them yesterday confirming this, so check your mail on Monday and your letter should have arrived by then.

But yeah, I could have written your question word for word. I still have no idea what RCN stands for, but yeah, definitely check the letter box on Monday - then celebrate

RCN stands for Reconciliation. FAO's fancy term for balancing things out.
