Default How long for progesterone support?

    Hello everyone,

I'm wondering those of you who've been on progesterone support for pregnancy (crinone), how long did you need/take it? I've just started and will be having BTs this week coming so I guess I'll find out then but just wanted to get an idea.

    Thank you.

    Hiya
I was put on progesterone on Thursday and was told if everything went well I would be on it for 6 weeks with blood tests every 4-7 days. Had my first blood test today and it was too little too late for me

    Good luck

    Thank you for your replies.

I'm so sorry muminshock for your loss. I've been there myself a few times over the last two years and it's a horrible feeling. I wish you all the best for your future.

Goodness summastarlet! I hope yours weren't as expensive as mine. I'm on one crinone gel dose (it says 90mg prolonged release vaginal gel) each night. And 15 doses cost me $188.35! It's going to be a very expensive two and a half months at that cost, but I can't baulk at it in the hope that it'll help this bubba.

Oh yes it cost me a fortune. Almost $200 a box and I was buying a new box every 4 days or so. Well worth it now Im holding my bubba in my arms though.

    Good luck

What is the difference between crinon gel and progesterone pessaries?

I can imagine that it definitely will summastarlet, just have to keep thinking of that happy ending I think.

Thanks Electric Rodeo. Are your pessaries (vaginal?) a bigger dose? Seems that the gel is not as strong, only going on the 200mg versus 90mg thing.

Ah this babymaking/keeping caper seems so much more confusing than with my first! I was so blissfully unaware!

    Thanks ER.
