Baby Shower after baby is born?

I never had the chance to go to a baby shower. None of my girlfriends are pregnant, but in four months I will give my own baby shower. I will have a girl and I already know what I want to receive as gifts. So my friends know what they have to bring to the party: baby pettiskirts, headbands, bloomers, toys and a baby cart. I can wait to see how it goes!

I too will be having a baby shower after bub arrives, but it will be a welcome home party for my daughter. I had planned a baby shower for next weekend, but my bubba arrived 11 weeks prem (born 3 weeks ago today) and I want to wait until she comes home to celebrate.

I am having a meet the baby Party with my 2nd after she is born in september. I had a baby shower when I was pregnant with DS & this one prob being our last child I want to make it special.

I think baby showers are most commonly held before the baby is born, but it's perfectly okay too after the bub arrives.
