    Default Paid Parental Leave question

Hi everyone, I'm currently pregnant 24 weeks along with my second child... I'm still debating whether to apply for the baby bonus or the paid parental leave... its all soooo confusing..

Does anyone know how far along through your pregnancy you have to still work to be entitled to the paid parental leave? On the webpage it says you must have worked 10 out of the 13 months leading up to baby being born.. My little man is coming out June 19th, so does that mean i need to work up until April 19th?? It's all so confusing and baby brain isn'y my friend right now..

i think it states the hours on the website....one day a week perhaps?

and also don't forget about holiday pay owing to you...that still counts. and if you left 3 months prior to the birth, that would be march 19th.

all up the baby bonus and ppl are approximately the same. i did ppl because we earnt too much money to get the baby bonus (they means test it) whereas anyone can get ppl as long as they have been working.

word of advice - get the ppl paid to you by family assistance and not your employer. i had soooo much drama with registration etc...

if you have been working up until now, and baby is born June 19, you could finish up work on March 19 and would have worked 10 out of 13 months.
