Default Traveling with 6 month old twins.

So I'm flying next week to Sydney and country NSW to see family, my mum is flying with me. We'll be away for just over a week.

    Any tips or pointers?
Should I get them used to the new time zone, or keep them on Perth time?

i wouldnt bother with the time zone factor, babies eat and sleep whenever they want anyway.but do make sure you have something for their ears, a bottle or dummies, or some nasal spray. The pressure adjusting in the ear can be a painful thing for little ones. You will be glad of the extra pair of hands. Marie

Honestly for me at about 6months is about the best time for flying with young children they just used to fall asleep in my arms it was great now i have to contend with a 3 year old that can't stop talking and a 16month old that just wants to get down and walk around lol

I wouldn't worry about the timezone it will probably only be you that might get knocked around by it they won't even notice the difference like you will. No tips really just make sure you pack something familiar for them like a toy or music box to help them go to sleep as that is what i struggle with when we go away is that at home the girls self settle and when we are away i have to assist them to go to sleep.

Good luck travelling with kids is always fun but you will be fine especially having your mum there to help you out

We flew to the uk when dd was 7 months old and she was absolutely fine! I was a bit nervous about it but we just went armed with lots of toys to change over and keep her occupied. As a pp said, 6 months is a perfect age to travel! Young enough to sit on your lap and small enough to sleep on you without too much discomfort!
My only tip would be to get up and walk around when you can. We found that if we walked around with dd when we were able to, it meant she was ok sitting when we had to have seatbelts on. Definitely feed on take off and landing if you can. Dd had no trouble with her ears. As far as time zone goes, it's only for a week so I suppose depending on what the time difference is they might do it naturally.
Good luck!!! Dh, dd and I are flying to Sydney (from Brisbane) next month and I'm dreading the flight with my now 16 month old!! We vowed we would never fly again till she was at least 2.5!
