    Default Waking up and Tantrums

My 17 month old daughter used to be a great sleeper, but recently has been waking up an hour after we have put her down. When we put her down she rolls over and falls straight to sleep, and I always wait til she is really tired to put her down. When she wakes up she basically just stands in her bed and throws tantrums. I'm really at a loss of what to do. A few times I have given in and just gotten her up. Wishing now I hadn't cause it's gotten worse. Any ideas or suggestions would be great.

our DD gets 2 options when she wakes, cuddles with mummy, or laying back down and going to sleep. She chooses about 50/50, so Ill rock her back to sleep if needed.
