Question Four & Five Star Hotels in Melbourne - Are they family friendly???

Has anyone stayed in one of these with their kids?
I get a slight impression that they're not too keen about families staying. I've been checking out websites and they don't seem to offer accomodation for more than 2-3 people at a time.
Does anyone have any experience at staying at one of these as a family?

I recently stayed at crown towers in melbourne, while I didn't have my kids with me I did notice quite a few families with young children and even bubs in prams while there so I imagine they do cater for families.
