Yep I have a degree in Early Childhood Education & have worked unqualified in child care before I received my qualification, as a room leader in childcare after 2 years of my degree (when I received my childcare qualification), and then a school teacher (prep) when I finished my degree.

I want to start a network of fellow leaders to help us in the new role. The educational leader only became part of regs in jan so people are still unsure what this means and maybe overwhelmed

    Hi Little Pink Hen
Have you had a look on the EYLF forum page, there are lots of conversations going on about the new regs and EYLF, you will probably get more responses from early childhood professionals there.

I know what you mean.... I am currently working on setting up a new Child Care facility (not for me - I'm just employed to do it for a company!) & getting it registered - I feel like no-one has any clue about the new ACECQA guidelines, including the Registration Board in my state - it's a little frustrating trying to explain the new rules to the board who is meant to be registering us, and should have some idea about what they are doing, lol!
