I had this happen to me, my body absorbed the other twin and the surviving twin is a very active 9yr old girl

"Disappearing twin syndrome"... I had it, heartbeats were seen at 6 weeks, one strong and one very weak so we were told twin B would just pass away and be absorbed by my body.

At the 8 week scan twin B had gone.

I was told this can be common but a lot of women just don't know it has happened unless they do have early scans.

    Good luck.

Hi guys just an update. Saw ob last week and twin 2 definitely not viable. Told me to expect bleeding and if this happened I would need another scan. Otherwise he said my body should just reabsorb the bub. All going fine just have to hold out til my nt scan in 3 and half weeks.

This happened to me also. I had a scan due to a suspected miscarriage at around 6-7 weeks and there were 2 sacs, one with a heartbeat and one non-viable. I had a bit more bleeding and by my 12 week scan the second sac was gone. Without the scan i would never have even known.
    Hope you're okay
