    Default Feeling blue

Im about 6-8 weeks pregnant and have a 12month old that still sleeps poorly.... I think the hormones and sleep deprivation are working together to make me feel terrible. Im not sick at all just way tired and really blue.

Has anyone else felt blue while pregnant? Is this a normal hormone thing?

Hon, I think it's completely understandable to be feeling a bit blue when you've got hormones working overtime to grow a new life and then on top of it contend with a toddler who is not sleeping well. Whenever I have felt blergh, I have found tiredness definitely compounds it.
As they say in the classics, 'a problem shared is a problem halved', so I think it's very helpful that you're able to talk about how you're feeling and recognise that you're not feeling that great. I find talking to someone I trust helps, getting out of the house, even if it's just a little walk in fresh air with the pram, meeting someone for a coffee/play date etc. That all said, I do know how difficult it can be to get motivated when you're sleep deprived and newly pregnant, so try not to be too hard on yourself.
