    Default Mirena

Hi I had the Mirena done over 12 months ago now and I still get a slight bleed mainly when I wipe myself and after sex it is a pain in the bum I have to constantly wear a pad.... What should I do I was told by my DR that before I had it done that that this would happen but would settle after a few months but would eventually stop but I thought after all of this time it would have stopped by now what should I do is their a pill that I can take to help stop the bleeding....

I am on my third one. this one is only 2.5 months in but i have always found i have spotted after sex depending on what position. It should stop and you shouldnt have to wear a pad. a panty liner at most sometimes. It should settle down but if it is heavy i was taking a pill 2 days before my period was due and during to slow down and stop the bleeding but side effects are blood clots and i cant remember what it was called but yes there are tablets you can take.

It may not have been inserted properly, or, and this is a long shot, it may have become dislodged. I would go back the docs and get them to check the positioning asap.
