Made me cranky and quite depressed when I started it after DD was born. At one point I thought maybe I had pnd. Felt wonderful and happy as soon as I stopped. Will not be taking it after this bubs is born.

It made me very moody and emotional, i felt like crud (kept thinking i was pregnant). I also had a lot of spotting/bleeding.
I felt fantastic once i stopped taking them.

Yeah well that's the other benefit.
I was a little psycho (and depressed) while on it, and I feel great now also.

It's just now that the acne has returned, that I've remember how much I hated it and was ashamed of it.

I'm having trouble deciding which is worse.

Hey don't mean to crash the thread but i am on microlut and have been on it for 8 and a half months and in the last three months things have really gone downhill(moodiness, headaches, dizziness, low libido, no energy). I have been so moody and really sensitive even to the point of going to the doctor but they tell me its just stress and theres nothing they can do. Do you think it could be the microlut causing this and if so should i stop taking it. I am currrently breastfeeding my ten month old and not in a hurry to have another one just yet so what other contraceptives are there that are safe to use?

Gained weight, depressed, bleeding for 7 months after DD1 was born, moody; after going back to my ob, he confirmed Microlut was the biggest booster for all of the above! I stopped immediately, within 2 days bleeding stopped completely and I felt heaps better within a week! I will never use it ever again!

I'm taking this currently - not sure I've really noticed much except my weightloss has plateaued
I get some random spotting/light bleeding maybe a few days each month now; low libido; maybe more emotional but not sure..

I'm breastfeeding DD & would prefer to not to have another just yet so I'm interested in other options as well if anyone has a suggestion?

OMG, how microlut has made me feel, I have been on microlut for the past 18 years and at the age of 42 only now have STOPPED it thank god .Being highly secenitive to the pill I could only take microlut and for years just kept on taking it like I was told to, grr makes me so angry, I also have just been told I also have a fatty liver, are now having to sort all this out, I have gained weight, felt depressed, moody, headachs, so many feelings not knowing what is normal. Thanks to my Gynaecologist (female) someone has finially listened to me. Now I feel so more clearer in the head, so I can start to enjoy my life.

i was on it for a week and went all moody and depressed. went off it quick smart. now we just have to use condoms until i stop bf then i will go back on my normal combined pill to stop my acne .. don't see any other option.

also with the acne just do regular facials which i find help control it a bit..
