BFN Gutted. I was actually starting to get my hopes up. AF arrived today so yesterday's result wasn't a mistake
Have booked a phone consult with a Sydney Reproductive Immunologist, four BFN with 'perfect' embryo's has me screaming out that something else is not working so working along the high NK cell route...

Also going to try and get the clinic to do another egg collection cycle this month and bank some more embryo's. I worked out the other day we have had 16 embryo's tested and only 5 normal so the CGH testing is worth it rather than the cost of transferring all those unbalanced embryo's (does that make sense?)

Scarlet - I hope today flies by and you see that heartbeat tomorrow

    Big hello to everyone else

Hi girls - how is everyone doing??

Scruffy - I am so devastated for you :-( I can only imagine how sad and frustrated you must feel. Don't lose faith though. Keep pushing for more and more tests. You mentioned that you might look into the high NK cell issue. Is there any reason they would not have tested for this already? I don't know.... I just wish it was easier for us all. I am sorry hun :-(

Scarlet - how did the scan go?? can't wait to hear all about it!!

    How is everyone else going?

Well, we had our second scan today at 9wks and 3 days and bub is still doing great! Heart was beating away and it was a beautiful sight. Unfortunately, the other 2 bubs ( they called them triplet 'b' and 'c' ) were still there in a sac but had not progressed and obviously not viable pregnancies. Again, we are told that the bub doing well, should not be affected by the other two. So, we are so so happy. every day gets easier, but it's still so so nervewracking.

Anyway, just wanted to share and say Im thinking of everyone too xo

    Hey ladies,

Something weird is happenning cause I had replied!

Scruffy I am so sorry this is devastating. I think looking forward and doing testing is what you need to do. I contacted a doctor called Jeffery Braverman he does Skype consults and is apparently one of the best, he does his own set of testing and will work with your FS.

I never had my appointment as it came up in the 2WW and didn't see a point till I knew it hadn't worked. A friend of mine at Genea as well went through him and swears it is why she is pregnant now.

Chrissy, I am so happy you have one strong bub and very sad for the other two but yo must be getting more relieved and feeling this is real.

I had my scan yesterday at 6w6d and we saw a beautiful heartbeat it is all starting to sink in. I have asunder chorionic haematoma and don't know how significant it is but it could cause bleeding in pregnancy. Haven't spoken to my FS yet so don't know if we need more scans or what.

    Hi Chrissy and Scarlet,
So glad your bubs are doing well Thanks for all your kind words. I am really struggling and feeling teary most of the day, looking at strollers and baby bumps tips me over the edge

We have a phone consult booked with Dr Matthias a Sydney braced reproductive immunologist who trained with Dr Beer in the US on November 30th. Hopefully he can come up with a more aggressive plan and that my FS will go along with it.

Also booked my Day 21 appointment to start another egg collection cycle. Upset as this means realistically we won't transfer again until next year but know that banking some more is a smart move.

Hi all, I am new to PGD and have a couple of questions. Did anyone have a 'freasibility' test done before they got confirmation thy could do PGD? If so, how long did it take and how much was it? Also, I'm worried my FS won't stimulate me enough to get a good number of eggs, he is quite conservative, and I'm worried about all the time and money for potentially not many embryos at all, and then potentially even less that come back as 'normal'. I know I should talk to him about it, but I was wondering what dose everyone took to get a good result! Looks like I'll start on gonal F with 112.5. I normally produce 1 follicle using 90 of Gonal F. Thanks for any replies

Scruffy, I have heard that Dr Matthias is very good. Good luck with the appointment. Are you with Genea? I think so, just wanted to say that my last cgh with them, the results were done in a week, way quicker than before. May have been a fluke but I just think they are getting more and more people doing it and thus have more to send in. I did a stim cycle then a FET the next month (with the embryo tested the month before) and got pregnant, my FS doesn't need me to wait.

Little Dove, I don't know what a freasability test is. I have never had to do it. With your FS, if you aren't comfortable, then change, It is your money and your body and you don't have to do anything just because they are nice or you have been with them awhile. I changed clinics and it was the best thing I could of done.

With the stims, I get the low number gives you better quality. I know it is controversial, but I get about 15 antral follicles and on average only get about 8 eggs. But those have been good quality. All mine that have made it to PGD (7 now) have been normal (that was 3 cycles though). I know lots of people who have 20 eggs and dont get that many.

Getting to PGD is really the luck of the draw. It is a risk, but ask about batching the cycle so you can put more together. I do think that you should be on higher stims though, my FS had me on 300 she said if she went higher it would just make the eggs 'scrambled' and I would probably not produce many more. If you only get 1 with 90, then it is too low. You should get one with NONE

    Good luck!

    Hi everyone

Not sure if you remember me but just wanted to pop in with an update and to wish you all well. I lost a baby at 15 weeks with Trisomy 18 in January so have been cycling most of the year to stockpile enough embryos for aCGH testing. Well am heartbroken to say I only got 8 embryos from 5 cycles and got the news last night that none were normal. FS definitely says it's my eggs and not to try anymore so off to donor land for me

All the very best to the wonderful ladies on this thread. I so hope you get wonderful news with your testing and healthy little bubs aplenty.

    Take care

    Wish
    xx

wishmeluck you have been through so much . At least you can be 100% sure now that you are moving in the right direction.

I went to donor land and it is so worth it. I wish you luck on the next part of your journey.

Good luck April for this FET will have

Oh Wish What a long journey and to have no normal embryo's at the end of it, my heart goes out to you.
I hope your journey to find a donor is quick and you get a speedy BFP

AFM - starting sniffing to do another egg collection. Have one normal frostie but want to bank some more whilst waiting for review my an immunology specialist about my high NK cells and why four CGH embryos have all been BFN's.
Actually waiting for my phone consult today

    Big hi to everyone else
