    Hi Everyone!
Just wanted to say hi and hope everyone is doing well.

April78 - don't be disappointed with your 5. I know how disheartening it is, but you only need one of those to be lucky! I got 5 at EPU, 9 fertilized and only 5 made it through to be biopsies for CGH. AND... 2 come back genetically normal! I was hoping for quality over quantity this cycle, and still only 2 of our original 10 are 'okay'. Anyway.... Chin up and let us know how things travel.

    How is everyone else doing?
Im doing ok,so far. We transferred both our normal embryos last week and have our blood test on Monday! Very nervous and excited.

Hope everyone is doing ok xxx

    Chrissy congrats on being PUPO!!
Can I ask, how did you decided to transfer two? I have two left and would secretly like twins but too scared to put both back in and waste precious 'normal' embryo's if both don't stick

AFM - Day 21 appointment today. Luckily I am on the ball as they had no script for my prednisone, hopefully in the mail on Monday... Don't want to pick up my drugs yet just incase I had a miracle last minute BFP

    Hi girls!!
Thanks for the wishes! I wish you the same over and over and pray we all get the babies we desire.

Scruffy - hubby and I really wanted to have 2 embryos transferred with our first IVF attempt last year. My FS said no and told us all the reasons why (health, risks etc ). We came to realize that it is also not really common practice anymore. We were ok with the idea of twins and didn't mind, but we went along with his advice as we highly respect him. Anyway, after 2 more MC's I with IVF ( and 1 before IVF, making it 3 miscarraiges in total ), we managed to convince him and we considered the pros and cons. I also turned 39 this year, so he was more accepting of the idea, given my age. Hubby and I decided that we would just take the chance and put faith in the 'normal' embryos. We are aware that there are no guarantees and this doesn't mean it will work, but we decided to put everything into it pray for the best. We decided that we'd rather have even just one embryo implant and risk losing the other, as opposed to putting oonly one in and it doesn't work. So I guess we looked at it as 2 chances rather than one. I did worry about wasting 2 of them ( incase they don't work ), but we figured that IF it doesn't work.... It wouldn't matter if there was one or two in there... If that makes sense?? It's different for everyone though. We would just LOVE for it to be twins..... An absolute dream for us! But obviously we will be happy with a healthy baby regardless!!! Anyways, fingers crossed for you xxxxxxxx

    Hello my CGH lovelies

I am guessing by the lack of action in this thread that we are all in limbo land!?! I am just waiting for AF and keen to get another round started. Unfortunately not feeling too positive at the moment. Compounded no doubt by my best friend announcing she was 12 weeks pregnant on the weekend.

You think you are cruising along fine an then something comes up to smack you down again. I had no idea just how hard this journey was before I started and so glad I have to all to share the highs and lows with.

How are you all doing? Updates please

    Hi Girls,
well, I'm excited to say that we got a positive blood test and was 4 weeks pregnant as of yesterday. As you can imagine, I am terrified to get TOO excited about this result as I have lost my previous 3 pregnancies between 4 and 7 weeks. I know that the genetic testing is no guarantee, but we are putting some extra faith in the fact that maybe, just maybe.....these healthy embryos willgrow to be healthy baby/ies. My hcg was 527 which the nurses said was really good! So...fingers crossed now! The longest wait ever till the 7 weeks scan.

    Hows everyone else doing?

Scruffy - what will you do in the next cycle? One of your frozen or a fresh?

    Xoxoxoxoxox

Wow Congratulations Chrissy!! I am thrilled for you. Your hcg seems a tad on the high side so perhaps they both stuck and it is twins!! Mine was 450 with the one so who knows! Let us know when you find out. I'm now 11 weeks and counting down the days until I can tell people. The first 7 or so weeks went by at a snails pace.

Once we start getting those BFPs here (and I know we will, its just a matter of time) I'd like to ask everyone opinion on doing either CVS or amnio after cgh. I can't decide but will be guided by my NT test results. Anyhow, just a thought for later on.

Hope everyone else is well and hangin in there. XOXOX

Chrissy amazing news!!! On my phone so can't do a massive smiley face! I am doing FET this month, should get AF this weekend do transfer at the end of the month.

Flying Fish that waiting to burst with the news must be hard. Hopefully we'll all be joining you soon... As for testing I was told CGH picked up all chromosome issues so no need for further tests once pregnant

    Hey ladies,

    So sorry to be MIA.

Chrissy, that is fantastic! Well done. Your beta is great, I know it is hard comparing the pregnancies, but fingers crossed this is the one.

Scruffy, welcome back! I think I said hi already but not too sure. I haven't had a chance to read back.

I am having a dilemma lol this month I have been doing cycle monitoring and all my levels are great, looks like I am going to ovulate tomorrow.

When I did monitoring before, I didn't even get close to ovulating so the cycle was cancelled. We were monitoring to test my progesterone after the cycle.

ANYWAY, it has been suggested that we go ahead with a natural transfer as this is what we have been aiming for. I am really keen, but am pretty scared, mainly because we didn't get to the progesterone testing part and that is what I am worried about and the other reason is that I have just come off a stim cycle and transfer that failed, my doctor is fine with me doing a transfer this month and said it is up to me.

My dilemma is what if I miss this opportunity and I am unable to get good hormones again for a natural FET? Plus I am impatient and can't transfer next month.

    Help, any suggestions or advice?
