    I would let her go as well. If she has said I'm so sorry I've neglected the friendship I've just been so busy but I want you in my life and will make more effort - I would say hang in there.

    But her response kind of sounds like a polite brush off from someone that has let go a while ago but can't be honest about it.

    If she attempts to reconnect with you, then great. But sadly it sounds like you need to let the relationship go

    Hey ladies... thanks for all your advice.

    The email thread has gone around and around with her. She has apologized but I'm not sure that means anything for the future. I think it's great that she did and we both have, but I felt a almost 2 years of rejection and that's a long time. Whoever said friendships sometimes have their seasons and that's okay I think you're right. I just feel sad that we didn't salvage it much much earlier. I hate confrontation and she doesn't open up so I guess we're both to blame.

    Oh well.... time to move on.
