You have just inspired me to make a lasagna tomorrow, thanks

Ok now I need to vent and only those involved in this thread will feel my pain....

Inspired by you lovely ladies, I spent all afternoon making chicken & veggie curry pies....mixture in slow cooker to further enhance flavours and HANDMADE the pastry. Fantastic I hear you say, why thank-you, I was pretty proud of my efforts too.

Then DH gets home starving and wants to cook them early - no problem. He puts them in the oven and both of us can't wait to try them! Bear with me...getting to the finale....10mins goes by and I can smell burning from upstairs. I go down to kitchen to investigate...DH had put the GRILLER on instead of f*^#ing oven!!!!!!

Needless to say top ofpies burnt to a crisp while rest of pastry still raw....dial a pizza coming up....SO upset

Pesca - Nooooo!!! How frustrating! All that effort. Was any of it salvageable? Maybe take the top pastry off and put mashed sweet potato or something instead? I'm gutted for you!

Here's some bread DH baked today - his first attempt and it's really yummy!

Thanks Cue - I spooned the mixture out which can be eaten with rice instead at least! It was an honest mistake, but so hard not to be angry!
