Default VENT!! In sick of Doctors not caring!!

I have been having sever pain and bleeding during and after sex ( the pain and bleeding lasts a few days the pain can be bad enough to keep me in bed for a day) I have seen about 4 GP's and most of them just throw contraceptive at me! I have had 2 offer me a pap smear and I go to get it done but the second they put that speculum up me I just bleed out and they say "oh we can't do the pap smear, theres blood"

I managed to get 1 pap smear done about 3 weeks ago but some how my results have been lost?!?
I'm have been so worried about this because I have 3 sisters and 2 of them have had Cervical Cancer!! And the other has endo.

I have also been having unbearable pain in my bum and bleeding from there too (tmi) and according to the GP's this can be normal?!? It's like a period from my bum (sorry sorry to much info I know)

Im going to yet another GP tomorrow I'm hoping she will at least refer me to a GYNO.

I'm just fed up with with having to deal with drs who don't care!!
My plan for tomorrow is to go to the new dr (I'm traveling 1 hour to go an see her because she was recommended) and demand some tests or SOMETHING to be done to see what's going on!

I can't live like this much longer! I'm just so worried, frustrated, and in pain.

Sorry I just needed to vent, I'm very nervous about seeing another dr tomorrow.. And wondering what crap I will be told is "normal" this time round :-@

Oh Hun I do feel for you!!! I have to say this does not feel normal to me.....sounds to me like you need a gynae and a bowel specialist. I would have thought with a history of cervical cancer you GP might have been a bit more on the ball. A good GP is so hard to find and when you do you wait forever for an appointment. good luck with your appointment tomorrow and I will check back to see how you went. Big

Thank you, and I know this is not normal.. This all started about 3 years ago and I seen many GPs.. In the end I just went to the hospital and they referred my to a GYNO, it was through the public system and the waiting list was 8 months :-O
So I just asked them for a private one, so I went to the private hospital and seen a gyno, but the whole time all she was worried about was how I was going to afford testing ect with out private health... We have a bit of savings so the cost that she was telling me wasn't an issue and we would have got most of it back on Medicare.. But she still didn't want to do anything, she just told me to get private health and see her in a year...
Well I ended up falling pregnant and had bleeding through out my whole pregnancy, I was told by drs that it can happen and don't worry they will just do frequent ultrasounds.. After my daughter was born (I had a c-section) they told me they couldn't see anything of concern, and took swabs ect but all way fine. I was doing great for a while after she was born but now it's back with a vengeance!!

This dr I'm seeing tomorrow had a 6 week waiting list but I got put on the cancelation list and ended up getting in tomorrow.. I have to travel an hour to go and see her, so I'm not leaving there with out some sort of test or a referral to a good GYNO or an ultrasound to see what the hell is going on!

What ever is going on is not normal, and I don't think I should just be expected to just "live with it"

I also had the Cervical Cancer vaccine a few years ago, so when I tell des about the cervical cancer in the family they just seem to think that because I had the vaccine I don't have it!! It's so frustrating!!

This sounds a lot like endo to me...
I have endo and I have TMI bleeding from the back passage and it's where the endo attachs itself to the bowel I would get private health wait out the waiting periods and then get a laproscope to confirm as this the only way a diagnosis can be made!!! Good luck tomorrow let us know how you go!!!! Ask any questions you might have
