this was brought up in another thread (thankyou to those involved) and it got me wondering.
I'm 27 & knew nothing abt them. I've since googled and know a load more but was wondering do real people (lol) use them? Are they really as good as everyone says on the reviews? Seems like itd get a bit messy?
Am i the only one that hadnt heard of them?!
    Thanks.

They are the best thing ever.

love mine - would NEVER go back to tampons.

bleed gone from 5 days down to 3. no pain from bleed day (I still get ovulation pain though) ..not messy as I don't have an overly heavy bleed.

can go 8 hours before I need to empty.

I know loads of people who use them, and they all rave about them. I've been wanting to buy one, but I don't want it to be a waste of money because we're TTC in 12ish months, so I'd have to get the size up after having a baby.
I've been told there's a bit of a learning curve, but once you have it down pat they're really good.

I used one for a while, loved it. I think it's actually far more hygienic than disposable pads/tampons, I didn't have my menstrual blood sitting in bins and landfill, it went into the toilet which imo is where those kind of bodily wastes belong.

I used to have shocking periods that would go for days and the pain would be so bad I was house and bed bound. Now I use washable products and not disposables that contain chemicals and aren't breathable, my periods only last a few days, are lighter, I don't leak all night and much less painful.

What brand are you using? I don't use tampons so the cup is out of the question for me. But I wonder if there is some type of washable pads of some sorts? My AF is terrible these days to the point of having to take pain killers otherwise I simply can not function for a day or two.
Would love to know what you are using?

I used a diva and then a lunette they were both great but I'm so unco and ended up having trouble getting them in!

I now use cloth pads, they're fantastic! I have almost no pain and don't have to get up at night to change several times like I used to with 'sposies'.
