the original is ace, and my kids love it.

the remake they have never seen because its ridiculous, and im sick of seeing depp acting like a total douche these days in the latest burton films.

I find it disturbing. We're watching Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.

    It's creepy, I don't like it.

The oompa loompahs suck in the new version too, its just a computer generated clone of 1, least in the original, they were real!

Yep I loved the original too and didn't find it was as creepy as this one but atleast there was a nice happy ending!

I found it funny that the only thing they changed in how each kid was gotten rid of was the geese to squirrels though...

I liked the original version as a kid and watched the JD version on tv last night and I LOVED it! So did DH! We thought it was awesome. My kids won't be watching it though.

Umm i am fairly sure the original has chickens heads being cut off, during the psychedelic boat ride part - that scene could be construed as pretty disturbing to some. (i love the movie though )

I don't mind the Tim Burton one, it is a bit creepier i suppose but it is Tim Burton. It is closer to the book, which i appreciate, but i prefer the original.

    I enjoy both movies though
