Default Charlie and the chocolate factory

I'm sitting here watching it and quite enjoying it but does anyone else find it slightly disturbing?

Do you let your kids watch it?

Whipping cows, scary rides, willy is a bully too!

The original version isn't too bad, but yes if you are talking about the new version it definitely is quite scary and disturbing.. I wouldn't let my 5yo DSD watch it. She would have nightmares from it. Even watching as an adult it was a little creepy lol

I don't think anything Tim Burton does is meant for kids, more for adults who love kids stories!

I'd probably let my daughter watch it when she's a bit older, as kids miss the bits we may find disturbing, and focus on the magical, visual side of it as TB movies are so beautiful to look at!

I cannot stand the newer version...it's been completely ruined. It's creepy, disturbing, and I wouldn't let kiddies watch it until they were in their teens at least.

    I love the older version...now that's a classic movie!

I used to watch the old one constantly when I was really young. I have only seen the new one a couple of times when it very first came out and don't remember it very well. I did enjoy it but purely because I love Johnny Depp

I would only let an older child watch Tim burtons movies. But like I said I can't really remember the new one, just bits and pieces.

My kids are 4 + 5yo and they love it. It's no more creepy than many fairy tales.
