    I 110% agree with you! The first house we owned was brand spanking new, and it was just so 'soul-less'. I much prefer our daggy old weatherboard now.

    We are just nearing completion of a renovation.

    Pre-renos, we had 3 bedrooms, and 8 rooms in total (9 if you count the entry room) and now we have 5 bedrooms and a total of 12 (13 counting the entry). We now have a combined living/dining, not sure if that is counted as 1 or 2 rooms.

    Dining
    Entry
    Enclosed back verandah/terrace that was used as our dining room before renovations as we didn't have a dining room before. It is a huge room that currently has 7 piece outdoor dining suite, tv unit with old tv, 4 piece outdoor lounge suite, big train set, a kids' table fir my children to do art/craft at and a big shelf with all craft stuff on it.
