Its because our house is old! I think it must have been the original kitchen.

Now its just a great place to hide dirty dishes!
Oh ok! Haha, I have a friend who has the most beautiful designer kitchen with the oven, dishwasher, fridge etc, a couple of benchtops, tepanyaki grill thingy, PLUS a walk in pantry, PLUS that little extra kitchen with a couple more benches, another sink, space for another fridge etc. I assume thats a scullery then!

I didn't count our hallway because it didn't exist until we made the second bedroom smaller to put it in. You used to have to walk through a bedroom to get into the rest of the house.

The house we are looking at buying is another 2 bedder, currently with 2 bathrooms and a pokey kitchen, separate lounge and dining, and an add on room on the back which I think will be a playroom/ rumpus but we are hoping to do some renos to make it suit our needs better.

It's open plan - so it's hard to count rooms. Kitchen, dining and lounge are all in the one giant space, with an entry room as well. There aren't walls or anything dividing them (except the toilet/powder room of course!).

Upstairs there are four bedrooms and another living space and two more bathrooms.

ETA: The house is brand new. I hate it Give me a big old QLDer any day!
