The one evolution vs creation? I just read through it. The one about bad things happening to good people was deleted, I didn't come into that one other than to say about the nastiness which was to everyone, nobody was quoted.

But Annabella, why should FITB's children have to be separated.

Why is there an us and them in primary school?

Its like going back to the 50's when they separated "coloureds" from "whites".

Its really wrong. Children should be able to go to school without discrimination or segregation of any kind.

I'm not going to get involved in the back biting again, but I do agree public secular schools should be just that - secular. If you want a religious education for your child send them to a religious school. I know for a fact the catholic schools will negotiate much lower fees for low income mums and parents who have a christian faith but can't afford it.

I fully support the role of private christian schools. That is where christianity should be taught.

'this' is what is stopping gay rights!

why can't you see that the bible and religion is imposing on other people's lives?
?? Why didn't you just post it instead of a question you knew the answer to? Anyway.

You need to stop blaming religion for your personal angst.

    we are not religious.

    Seriously.

If you want to have a serious conversation stop cherry picking, please.

How many times has it been said that things in the bible can be taken metaphorically!?
    But this can't?

I'm not 'suggesting' this is what is in the way of gay rights... It IS what is in the way... poeple are fighting AGAINST it using the 'sanctity of marriage' as back up.
Sorry I was being serious, reform
judiasim has no problem with gay marriage, we have many gay Rabbis , not one of the 613 commandments say marriage is only between man and a woman so call it a technicality if you want but I was just trying to answer your question

I already said in the other thread I don't care if religion in schools is scrapped. I'm just saying I should not be made to feel guilty that I ticked 'christian' because of the effect it has on FITB. I won't apologise for my identification as Christian and stated that I was hurt by her comments, which she dismissed.
