Hitlers religion is unclear, this is still debated. Some say atheist, others say christian although he killed many christians, my grandfather was almost taken to a concentration camp but got away, many men from their village were killed for being greek orthodox.
So you agree our laws shouldn't be based on Christian Principals?

-if you knew that about Hitler - probably best you don't use him to back up your argument.

Religion should be taken out of politics as much as politics should be taken out of religion.

I personally believe yes you should, but I don't think she really gives a sh!t. She cares more about getting the votes than the issue.

For those who believe it's "politics" stopping gay marriage - do you think Religion should be taken OUT of politics?
    Yes I do.

I don't think any new laws would be built on Christian principles anyway. As for the old ones that ARE built on Christian principles, yes some should be changed (ie gay marriage) and I think are changing slowly, but many are based on principles that are not exclusive to Christianity, I think it would be wrong to assume laws of humanity based on respect for others are 'Christian' values.

If you don't mind me asking - what did you put as an answer in the "Religion" section on the latest Census?
