Ladies thanks for the support. I thought I should mention how it went with WDA he firstly was given only 5 yes 5!!!! Pages of my file for the 4 stims 2 fets i have done, he got 5 pages of my history. I was disappointed as we had to wait to re over these to compare what I have done and what he would do for a future cycle.

It was suggested that I would be on prednisolone from day 1 5mg x 2, 400 gonal f daily, clexane from day 3, orgalutran or cetrotide half dose from day 6 and 7 then full dose from day 8, feline before EPU as an anti inflammatory Valium and transfer progesterone support also.

For trigger to avoid OHSS he is suggesting using syneral as the trigger he finds it working really well to avoid OHSS which isn't something I have even come close to however!!

He insist we go to 5 day blasts as he want to see how my eggs perform. I feel good about going for blasts as that was the closest we got to a bub last year. He is happy to start when I want to its up to us which is amazing to get a choice. We are going to do a chromosome test on DH sperm first though.

I like him he was kind he was honest he answered questions and he gave me time 1.5hrs he didn't rush he agreed with all the extras I was asking about as good ideas can't hurt why not!!! My poor fragile soul wasn't ready for how helpful he was in comparison!!

So it is a little like being back at square 1 to see how my eggs respond and take to the higher doses I am nervous but really hopeful that when we are ready this could be it.

So then Friday I get a call from the local clinic wanting to know how I am how it went and if I was okay!! I don't plan to return that call.

Bella. - How are you feeling hon? Any more news on this one?

I'm glad you have something to look forward to. all that sounds really good! Was all that discussed on your first visit, or have you been back?
Wow, 800 gonal F is huge. DrM, only had me on 300. What did he have you on? I'm glad he is taking you to 5 day blasts. That's what I want to do if I have to try again.
It all sounds very exciting to be starting such a different protocol. (Well not protocol, it still sounds like an antagonist, but you know what I mean.)

    Default Wow

So I have silently been subscribed to this thread for several months now and reading all of the updates and all I can say is wow...

Which brings me to my point.....

Mrs P you are one of the most kindest, generous people, I have had the pleasure of reading your posts and everything you write is so empathetic even if at times I don't think it was justified for you to be that way inclined. I really wish you well in your now not quite two week wait now and am sending you lots of . Shari.

Hi Ladies, well my birthday wasn't what I hoped for but I survived. Dh had better get his s#@t together soon, for a sweet caring man he can be dense sometimes. Looks like the migraines have come back, not happy I can tell you. Talking with you ladies is what is keeping me semi-sane right now. You are all such a tower of strength and determination. Yes we all have our terrified moments where we can't see how we can possibly go on, but you all do. I'm off to the doc's today to get my referral for Sydney. Skype appointment with fs on May15th then with fn on May17th. Hopefully it will mean I can cycle in June. In the mean time I keep hoping all you ladies end up with bfps

    HI ladies,

Well it's been a while since my last post. We have been back from our Wazza appt for a week or so now and have been doing some hard thinking. It was a very worthwhile appt. If nothing else but to tell us exactly where we're at, even if we already may have suspected it, and to give us a plan for the future.

We spent 1.5rs in with wazza and 1.5hrs doing all the various other tests etc. We really liked him. He gave us the same type of attention that he gives everyone else, and I think he even told us what he tells everyone else (regarding his protocols ) , but he was so easy to ask questions of, and we came out of there being much more knowledgable on the subject.

As we suspected, he confirmed that my AMH is very low. My reserve at 40 is very low, I'll maybe get 1 egg every pick up, 3 or 4 if i'm lucky. He was very open about that. He could tell from my last 3 pickups that it is low (4 eggs our 1st cycle, none the 2nd cycle, and 1 egg the last cycle). He said we could do a test, but he said dont bother wasting your money on it- youd be better off spending the $70 on a powerball ticket.

So to wrap it in a nutshell, we have 3 options.
    1) Give it up, go home and have a nice life, we have about 2% chance of falling pregnant naturally.
    2) Give it one last chance with him. He ran us thru his Colorado protocol, we have the treatment plans here ready to go, we have spoken to his nurse and he has thoroughly explained the procedures and outlined all the supplements and medications he will be using. Judging by the scan I had with hinm that day (which happened to be day 9) he saw 1 decent folly and reckons he may have been able to get about 3 eggs if i'd been stimming with him (using Menopur, not Gonal) We'd have about 9-11% chance of success if we choose to use my own eggs one last time using his protocol.
    3) Donor eggs. He said if you want more bang for your buck, and increase your chances to 60%, use the $10k and go over to Sth Africa. We had a chat with his donor team too, but as we all know, unless you know someone in Australia willing to donate eggs, theres almost no one donating in Australia anymore.

So there we have it. Pretty full on. DH and I walked out of his offices and headed straight for our hotel bar. 3 scotches later, we had discussed it to the point of getting to know what we both generally thought , but then were exhausted talking and thinking about it, so made a pact not to for the rest of the night. needless to say, it's all we've both thought about since. it was like a festering vine growing over our brains, all night, all day. until one night last week i said look we just need to sit down and thrash this out again.

so we did. DH is of the firm opinion that he wants to give it one last try with our own DNA. it may be a small chance, but at least we would have left no stone unturned, and we can sit on the patio when we're 80 knowing that we gave it a red hot go with a guru. (not just going thru a 'same ol' same ol' protocol at CFC. I'm 50/50. With all the stigma and moral issues that come along with donor eggs, i'm really sure that it would be well worth it, and that 60% chance of getting a bubba ( still totally OUR bubba, which only grew because it had MY blood and flesh flowing thru it and DHs sperm) would be a nice answer. no stimming for me (which i gotta say, I REALLY dont want to do again, for peanuts chance of getting MAYBE 1 or 3 eggs that may or may not end in miscarriage anyway) As it is, he still said the chance of miscarrying at 40 is something like 50%, my eggs are just crap quality.

anyway- so i guess despite all the above we have arrived at the decision that we will give it one last go with wazza. even given the tiny chance of success, there is still a chance, and Wazza said he would tell me if he didnt think there was a chance. there could be a couple of good last eggs in there. we just never know. so with the persuasion of DH and a cpl of good friends, i KNOW that its what is right for this cycle. despite the fact i am totally ok with donor eggs, i know i need to sit on the porch when I'm 80 KNOWING that we tried everything 1st.

Phew. This post has been quite theraputic. I've been putting off typing it, as i didnt want to relive the past week over again as its been all consuming. but here we are on the train again, and DH is eating Goji berries, pumpkin seeds and siting with an ice pack on his testes every night, along with a myriad of other stuff, which i also have been prescribed. I have to say, ive always thought these supplements seem like they would have the tiniest affect on success in the scheme of things, but i guess no harm. besides health and stress are quite big factors in TTC. so , in the spirit of 'no stone unturned' and all that- here goes nothin'!!

Love to you all out there X especially you bella.
