Dj Nette -Hi and Congratulations! that all goes smoothly from now on. I can't magine how frightening that must have been.
I'm sorry I don't seem to be able to express myself clearly, I was more than prepared to wait all day to speak to someone. I live a couple of hours from the clinic so have to make the most of any time, I was very suprised to find af in full force this morning at 4am when i should be day9 into a cycle, because I had to take dh to airport anyway I felt it made more sense to drop into the clinic than to try to get answers over the phone, especially after last weeks drama. Now I have met more of the staff in person and found at least 1 of them much nicer and more understanding in person, it has certainly relieved some of my fears and made me more able to relax. I would never begrudge anyone for taking priority as in your scare today and I'm sorry I've made you feel the need to explain.

Bellavista/Sunny15/Musicalgal - thanks so much for your support. You guys hear out all of my dramas and give me support and advice that i truly cherish. With dh away so much and his own hang-ups, if i didn't have the support of you all i would have given up several months ago.

I hope you all are travelling well and have a stress-free, relaxing weekend. I have to make scones for the cwa markets on saturday so my kitchen will be a disaster by the time I'm done.

Amps - My apologies, bit of a stressful and emotional day. I didn't mean it to be taken that way. All my experiences with QFG have been that they are super helpful and would drop anything to help me. I'm sorry that you haven't had such an experience and I hope it improves for you with a fantastic outcome. Saying that I also hope that you don't become a 'frequent flier' there and become so well known that you just consider it a second home.

Sunny - It was my first down reg cycle, so that could explain it. I still got the same number of eggs as previously, but perhaps the quality was different. That said by Day 5 the embryos were no where near as good a quality as some of my previous Day 5s. We were suppose to have 24Sure (PGD) testing undertaken on Day 3 (hence the reason the embryos were sent to Brisbane), but they hadn't even progressed enough to do a biopsy. DH and I went to Brisbane anyway and decided to go ahead with the transfer, even though Dr W was pretty much indicating that we shouldn't bother. I think because everyone had told me there was no chance I was a lot more relaxed then previous 2ww. I did go to a party on the night of transfer and had a drink, maybe that's the secret.

It pretty much convinced me that their embryo grading process doesn't mean a lot.

MusicalGal - , thinking of you.

AFM - finding it hard to rest and stick to the couch. Had a major deliverable at work due today, so I went in just for an 'hour' to help out, and got home 5 hours later. DH not impressed.

Sunny I can't help but be excited for you. Can't wait to here when you are heading off? Fingers crossed for you it's soon.

Amps anytime that's why we are here!!

Djnette take it easy it's not worth pushing an already stressed time further particularly for work I hope the remaining weeks are easier for you and your partner.

Musicalgal hope your tww isn't too painful and a positive test is just around the corner. When do you test?

AFM All good day 3 of jabbing and feeling very bloated tender and uncomfortable. Still only expect my lucky 3 eggs going again despite expecting low numbers for 5 day blast 2 for transfer. It worked at least for 14 weeks last time!!

I am really emotional I have packed up all my pregnancy books and maternity clothing I just can't see any of it right now. Too afraid to be hopeful right now.

Bella - We originally wanted to go over in April/May but our first choice donor couldnt donate until June, as she is already donating in March/April and they are required to have a compulsory 2 months gap between donations. Financially, if we wanted a holiday plus the donor cycle, we were realistically looking at June anyway...so whats another month when we are talking about getting our first choice donor...I THINK our cycle will commence late June, with a transfer in mid to late July. Will know more soon.

Nette - Its so interesting hearing everyone's different experiences and knowledge. I must say that I felt the best on a long down reg out of all of my 6 cycles....stimming and FET. I had no bloating, aches or pains...the cycle was an absolute breeze to go through. I read of a girl on another thread that after her transfer, she went to a music festival and also had a drink and now pregnant....maybe it is the answer!!!! I hope you dont have anything planned for your weekend and you can take it easy....let that little one snuggle and grow.

Does anyone else on here use him or Monash? BTW I absolutely am bad at the acronyms on here. I can guess a few though. I am absolutely loving this forum and have found the support and advise that I needed as I really haven't been getting any support (absolutely zero) of other people in my life as in my fertile friends and family so I have had to cut a lot of them off (for the mean time) As it was just upsetting me too much so I decided that I really don't need that kind of negativity prior to IVF and I am feeling so much better because I have made that decision. Anyway nice to meet you all and good luck in all your journeys
