    Default Missed Miscarriage

I'm currently going through a missed miscarriage and I wanting to hear if anyone else has made to choice to let nature take it's course... I've now been waiting for 2wk4d and still nothing.
I'm still getting sore boobs, still have a pod belly which is kindof hard to touch.
I'm tired of constantly having to remind myself that there is no bub....
People keep asking could they have made a mistake at ultrasound but I would have been close to 8wks and no heartbeat.
I have had a curett before around 9yrs ago now and I'm not sure if i should go to doc and request it this time...

    Hi,

I'm very sorry for your loss. It's a horrible thing to have to go through.
I also had a missed m/c and decided to let nature take its course which it did when I would have been 10 weeks. I had lost all my pregnancy symptoms by this stage and never had a belly as this was my first pregnancy.
Basically I had spotting for a few days then woke up one morning with my husband and I covered in blood, jumped in the shower and passed the sac in a few minutes. It was incredibly painful for about an hour. I unfortunately then proceeded to bleed uncontrollably and had to be taken to hospital for an emergency d&c to stop the bleeding but this is apparently rare.

    Default Thanks

    Thank you for your reply,'

I have heard of this happening and thats one reason I'm beginning to think it may be a safer, less painful option

I can't really help as I went to hospital for my missed mc but I knew from about 7wks things weren't looking good & had a second scan week later then another two weeks later & still no HB. They booked me in for a Monday & I started bleeding on the sat prior. Still went into hospital on the Monday as I hadn't passed anything.
Sorry your going through it all

Huge huge hugs. I had a d&c this morning.I was given the option to see if nature would take its course, but our baby stopped growing about 10 days ago (in the 13th week) and I had no symptoms. I was also given the option of having 2 tablets every 3 hours 4 times a day to see if that would bring it on. I decided to go with the d&c because a) I believe it would have been extremely traumatic for me to see baby pass, and b) I may end up with a d&c anyway. It was incredibly difficult and as I was being wheeled into theatre I was crying I didn't want them to take my baby. They were lovely and comforting and I know that no matter how much time is given it won't make it any easier. So I did it. The procedure itself was easy. Physically, I feel fine. Emotionally, I'm glad that part is over but of course I still feel sad, and sort of numb. Good luck making your decision, please pm me if you want to talk x x
