My last urine test showed blood in it, the test got sent away I have not yet got results but doctor treated me on suspicion of a severe urinary tract infection anyway, the anti biotics have now given me severe thrush down there... What can I do? I have external canister cream to use but it's not doing much its sorry tni it's all swollen red awful discharge it generally feels horrid down there!!! And I don't think my UTI is any better either I have to redo a urine test Monday to see...

Is there any advice anyone can offer on this my doc said these issues need to be treated straight away as it can cause mc (I've had a few)

Doc does not yet know I have thrush going back Friday was earliest appt.

Is there anything I can do to help down there at all?
And will it harm my baby having such bad thrush?? It only appears external ATM...

It's so uncomfortable and horrible I'm so down!!! And ms too does not help just want the problems down there fixed ASAP!!! I'm getting no sleep from it!

    Thanks in advance!

Ill be watching for advice too... Ive had horrid chronic thrush too the only thing ive found that helps is wearing panty liners alll the time, oh and using nappy rash cream (bepanthen is my fav) to protect sore skin, as well as nilstat etc. And showering/sitting in the bath, alot. Its effin horrible and making me sad too

Sounds gross but buy some natural yoghurt, whack it on a pad and wear it! Not only does the cold soothe it but there are so many good bacteria in it it kills the thrush. Did this sooo many times while pregnant, damn antibiotics kept making me get it. Very nasty!

Thrush won't harm your baby, it's just really uncomfortable and unpleasant. There are heaps of natural remedies out there (garlic, vinegar or salt sitz bath etc), otherwise have you tried the Canestan pessary? It's like a giant tablet that you can insert up there (not the oral tablet - the oral tablet can't be taken during pregnancy. This one goes in the vagina). The creams did nothing for me during pregnancy unless I inserted the tablet as well. Also take some acidophilus both now and for a few weeks after the course of antibiotics has finished and try and cut out sugar.

ETA: It's not really a 'giant' tablet lol. It's just large compared to the ones you swallow.

Yeah that's what got rid of mine last time the insertable tablet. But last time I was not pregnant.

Is it ok to use thrush treatment internally when pregnant?

    MIL recommended inner health plus.

Can we take inner health plus when pregnant?

Also can we take acidophilus when pregnant?

I've never had any problems with thrush when pregnant until now...

Glad to see I'm not the only one! It's so horrible!!!

Inner health plus is the acidophilus tablet they're great - I'm really prone to thrush at times and acidophilus tablets help me to ward it off.

Also, (I'm not pregnant) I took a tablet a few weeks ago to get rid of thrush and actually had better luck with greek yoghurt.... down there! It clears it up for me overnight.
