I have a friend who's having a caesar on the same date. She's not one bit bothered, just a little bemused. Your DS or DD will probably think it's cool in a few years!

I changed the date of my second daughters c-section. it was going to be on the 13th but not a friday. It might seem a little silly I can see but I am super superstitious. i didn't tell them that was the reason I wanted to change it though haha but it turned out ok as both my daughters were born on the 20th of a month, I like it.

DS1 was born on Friday 13th (which was also his EDD)
I didn't care about the EDD but when it came time to give birth I started pushing at 11pm on the 12th but he was born at 1:02am on the 13th
No ill effects from the birth date so far

Its a lucky day in my family. My mother arrived in Australia on a Black Friday, my parents were married on one, and my brother was born on one. Well, two out of three are lucky!!

I think getting upset about this is about as sensible as getting upset that a black cat crossed your path. Who really cares?

FWIW, I have walked under ladders, had black cats cross my path plenty of times (having owned a black cat makes it kinda common... lol) and have opened umbrellas indoors. I've also smashed several mirrors.

So far, I think I actually get a pretty good deal in life - nothing particularly unlucky has happened to me.

Stop stressing about it - it's a crazy thing to worry about.
