    Oh Mum2b09 how exciting!! Congratulations!

Thanks so much for all your replies. We've decided to try for another, and made an appointment with FS, as we'll have to use IVF again. Now that we have made the decision, I just want it to happen and I'm strangely excited about growing our family. It feels right.

I had a singleton first then when he was 8 had my frat twin boys. They are now 21mths, I have a 7 mth old & I'm due again in july. There is 14mths between the twins & ds4 & there will only be 11mths between him & dd.. Wouldn't change it for the world. At times it is difficult to spend time with ds4 as ds3 can be so full on & has hit terrible twos early, however now that ds4 is starting to move around & sit up, I am finding the twins are trying to play & interact with him alot more, they just love him to death. And as the age gap is so small I'm certain that once ds4 is running round, they will all be best of friends.
I see u have already decided to go ahead with it & I'm sure it's a decision u won't regret. It does make it slightly more difficult to get out & about on your own with 3 babies, but definately worth it.
I wish you all the best & who knows, maybe you will end up with another set of twins

hi , i notice you have decided, to go ahead with another bub. I had one son, then 22 months later had twin girls. so that gave me three under 2 years. after a nice break of approx three years, I had my second son. so I had four children under 6 years. that was not so hard. Go for it, and enjoy them all, it passes so fast. Good luck with everything, Marie.

Congratulations!! All the best for a wonderful pregnancy!

ETA- I had high HCG levels with my youngest (after my twins) and they were really concerned I had fallen pregnant with twins again, but luckily for me it was just a single. I know many people who have had one egg transferred and ended with id twins, would be lovely though. Hope you keep us updated

Sometimes I think I must be crazy....twins are enough! We have a nice balance now, 1 boy 1 girl, and I'm worried about upsetting that balance....would the singleton feel left out? would the two same gendered kids stick together so the other would feel left out? How would I cope with 3? I struggle enough as it is with 2. But then I think I would be a more competent, confident mother the second time around, and not stress about the small things.

Would love to hear other people's experience. Thanks in advance.
I had my youngest when my twins were 11 months old. (had 4 under 5 and I was 23 yo). I believe a decent age gap (around 3 yrs) between any child/ren is the best way to go. There's an almost 4 yr gap between my eldest and the twins and I believe that to be a better gap then the 11 month one. The elder boy was able to go to the toilet on his own and did his own thing and wasn't so attached to me cos he was a 'big boy'. He also was able to help me with certain tasks and loved it.

But with the 11 month gap, I couldn't concentrate much on my singleton cos I had so many babies that demanded my attention all the time and I felt guilty that I couldn't focus on just one baby at all. But in saying that, the older they got, the easier it became. They kept each other entertained and toilet trained at the same time and as they grew, they grew together and are so independent and strong. All 3 of them started prep this year (timed it well - had the twins in July one year, had the lil one in June the next year) wouldn't change it for the world
