I started on the 3rd book last night (read the first two books in the week). Really loving the series!

I think the movie will be pretty good too as the author co-wrote the screenplay I think (I don't think she did the second film though).

    Looking forward to the movie!

Thats just something I've been mulling over.
Agree with the ownership thing! It's like he didn't want her but didn't want anyone else to have her

Come back and say what you think of it when you're done. It is quite different from the first 2

Agreed that the first was the best. To me, it's like the third was written by a different author!

The ending was SO disappointing! It was kind of like she got over writing it so just slapped on a happy ending to be done with it. I don't feel like Katniss ever really got to resolve any of her issues.

    The first book was great.

I guess though that you also have to think about it from Katniss' point of view - if you had been manipulated by every single person in your life would you realistically be able to resolve those issues?

    *SPOILER*
I also hate how Finnick was killed off - I know war is devastating and people die, but I just really don't think his death was necessary.

I just read the series over the weekend and have to say how much I absolutely HATED the ending of the third book!

It felt so rushed and there was no explanations for anything. Such a massive anti climax. Not only did she end up with the wrong person, but the other guy just disappears and never speaks to her again?! Frustrating!

I was really looking forward to the movie but now that I know how it all ends I'm not really interested
