Default Difficulty Breathing and pressure on chest

I am starting to get a bit worried about my breathing and chest- its getting harder to breath and today I only took 5 steps and I was struggling and my heart was racing. This arv my chest feels tight and I have to sit really still and take really deep breaths. It feels like heaps of pressure in my chest. Cant afford to see my GP and my next middy appointment isnt until 12th March. Dont really feel like sitting up at the Hospital waiting room for hours either

Im only 15 weeks along, and the difficulty breathing has been happening most of the pregnancy. The pressure in the chest is relatively new- its been gradually getting worse over the last 2 weeks or so. It comes and goes all day.

I've heard that shortness of breath can be a pregnancy related symptom, but only a doctor can rule everything else out; if it's bothering you after only taking 5 steps, you probably should go to the hospital, just to be sure. I know what you mean about the emergency waiting rooms, but hopefully with you being pregnant and having heart racing/ chest pain, they will see you sooner. At least you wont be stressing about it anymore.. the worrying about it is probably making it worse as well..

Thanks. I ended up speaking to a friend who is a nurse and she said its more then likely because I have quit smoking (5.5 weeks ago).
