Default So over ''easy'' babies!! **mini vent**

Im sick of knowing about mums with easy babies!!! 2 of my friends have bubs close to DDs age and all i've heard is howeasy they were to feed, havnt had to deal with colic/reflux, learned to self settle themselves and started sleeping through the night at a young age...all the while i've had to deal with poor weight gain, colic, reflux, extremy hard to put to sleep and still waking 1-2hrly at night !!
I HATE this !!! i've stopped talking to both friends for the time being as its making me depressed and stressed out hearing about their ''easy'' babies. just feel cheated that i cant enjoy my mum time like they have due to constant crying and exhaustion...

Dont worry, karma will get them next time I was the same with my first child, it got me quite down until obe day I realised NO baby is perfect and mostly the Mums are talking it up to compete for 'Worlds SuperMum' title

It's not PC but I comfort myself with this theory: easy baby equals hard toddler and hard baby equals easy toddler.

No one come in and tell me otherwise - I will simply put my hands over my ears and yell lalalalalala.

Hugs OP. it does get better.

I agree DD1 was easy - terror now!
DD2 was a terror to begin with - hoping it will go otherway soon!

I felt like I wasn't a "real Mum," when talking to other mothers when DD was young. She was far easier to deal with than expected, and never had any issues that required attention. Other mothers often did a, "Oh, well what would you know then?" thing, that made me feel like I was somehow not worthy of the mother title.

Babies can be easy, babies can be hard... I honestly think it's just luck of the draw (rather than being some fantastic super-mum... cos I'm certainly not that! lol) and it's why I'm terrified to have another.

Don't worry, your next baby could the easy one, and your friends could get hte world's most difficult babies to deal with.

I think there's a lot of mums who 'play up' how good their babies REALLY are in an effort to make other mums feel bad. I knew one. She's going to have a terror on her hands as a toddler though, little princess is about ready to hit the "Oh, I get WHATEVER I want?" stage.
    Fun times will ensue. *snicker*.

This was literally the case with me!!! DS is a very intense, full on toddler who is sending me grey. He was an incredibly easy baby.

DS2 has been more challenging as a baby. Everyone said this would happen with my second and they were right
