I love all the cakes everyone posted :-) its really fun to make them and be able to be proud that you did it yourself. This birthday I don't think I'll be making it but I may change my
    Mind.

These photos are from last birthday her 4th :-) I was really happy with the results. Although by the time the cupcakes were out on the tower the icing was melting abit.

DD1 2nd birthday cake. She loved In the Night Garden. So she had a ITNG Themed party and cake.

Sadly cant find a photo of her 1st birthday cake. But it was a pink teddy bear.

Oh i wish i could make cakes like these. I tried to make ginger bread houses with a colleague to raise funds and my god it was a disaster lol. Seemed like a good idea at the time but wowser it was hard work. We ended up eating most of the lollies

Not just my children either, this butterfly I made my Mum. It was the most time consuming.

Hahaha... just realised you can see where DS1 had a taste

Thanks my daughter loved her sleepover cake, the fondant girls were each personalised to look like her friends and the letters are their initials.

I let each girl take their bit home!

    Wow, some amazing cakes!

I'm not very cakeative, this was DS's 1st b'day cake. It was really easy except for setting the hippo in the jelly (I'm hopeless, that part was really tricky for me ).

Wow, these cakes are amazing! I'm not terribly creative but figured I had better try now DS is here! SDC12819.jpgSDC11634.jpgIMG_0944.jpgIMG_1092.jpg

The horse was for my Dad's 60th last week, the Monkey was for my son's 1st Birthday, the cake was my first cake with fondant/gum paste and the cupcakes were to go with Xmas pressies.

I can't believe how theraputic modelling flowers is, and how stressful piping them can be!
