No no no and no. No the one partner I had after using the Mirena, didn't feel it even being aware it was there. I think it might be dependent on how sensitive your partner is. I have never felt it either. I have already forgotten its been there for 2,5 years.
No acne and no extra body hair whatsoever either. I used to get HUGE zits when my period was due. I haven't had any zits since I started using the Mirena, but I haven't had a period either.

I will never be on the pill again. I disagree with it so much i won't be encouraging dd to use it but encouraging alternatives instead.
My gp doesn't want me on any hormonal contraception because of my past fertility problems as well as damage to my liver when pregnant with dd.
I actually don't like condoms but if I have no choice thats what we will use between pregnancies than make a decision about what next once our family is complete. But I'm also not comfortable with tubes tied and/or vasectomy
I have had damage to my liver during pregnancy with DS. I got pregnancy cholestasis in the 3rd term. Thats why DS was born at 35 weeks.
I was told to not use the oral contraceptives as they contain estrogen which disagrees with my liver. The Mirena and the Implanon are the only devices that do not estrogen and are the only way of contraception I can now use.
Have had the Mirena for 2,5 years and am very very happy with it. It is even more accurate than oral contraceptives. My liver function tests have returned reasonably normal since then.

To those of you who use the "pull out method" Is it really a form of contraception?

Its a risky one. There is still sperm in the pre-ejaculation fluid. Not as highly concentrated, but still enough for some women to fall pregnant.

Ive used plenty of brands of pills, the nuva ring and condoms.

Love the pill for me as It allows me to skip my periods but its a pest to remember everyday! Im hesitant to go back on it after bub is born tho.

Nuva ring for me was crap. Hubby could feel it during sex and always wanted to take it out!

Condoms for both of us are crap. Mood wreckers and it feels so different. I hate the lack of connection etc. Sex is supposed to be intimate, skin to skin. No barriers. (for us anyway).

Currently pregnant so doesnt matter currently.

Im looking at the Mirena post baby or unfortunately condoms until our next child. Just something we are gonna have to get over
