Default Which day was your Egg Retrieval?

I'm just curious - I am on down regulated cycle (my first IVF cycle), sniffing Synarel since CD20 last cycle, and jabbing since Day 6 this cycle. I have my Day 12 blood test tomorrow, then a Scan on Day 15.

I am hoping that all will be as planned to have my Egg retrieval early next week (although haven't really felt any side effects).

For those who have done this, which day did you end up having the trigger shot?

I know everyone reacts differently to the meds, but was curious to know when others had their egg retrieval..

    Hi Revind,

I was always on the money but DP (who is now donating eggs to me) has pushed out much longer. They always started us on a Thursday night so this is days from starting jabbing rather than AF.

    ME
    ICSI#1 11 days
    ICSI #2 & 3 12 days

    DP
    ICSI #1 23 days
    ICSI #2 15 days

The 23 day cycle was EVIL and not to plan, they threatened to cancel us three times but the three i had and DP's latest effort was normal.

I generally had EPU on a Wednesday.

Now for the answer you're looking for:
I usually had about 11-12 days of FSH injections (then trigger, then EPU 36 hrs later).
One cycle was only 9-10 days of FSH, another cycle was 14-16 days of FSH.
Every person and every cycle may be different and still work.

Using similar timings to your cycle, i.e. 1st BT after approx 6-7 days, then scans every 2-3 days thereafter, I had 2 scans for most cycles, 1 scan for 1 cycle, and 3-4 scans for 1 cycle.

    Remind,

Egg collection can be anywhere from day 12 to day 16 where day one is the first day of your period.

I had mainly antagonist cycles but one down reg and it was the same for that too.

    Hope this helps,

    Michelle (Giohara)

My first cycle (antagonist) Day one was the 4th, trigger was the 16th and EPU was on the 18th (CD 15).

This time around (long down reg cycle) one was 18th, trigger will probably be March 3 with EPU on the 5th (CD 17).
