    Default Insurance help

    Okay this is not the first thread I've started about this but the situation has escalated and need help.

    Long story goes.
    I was rear ended in October. Car was fixed by a very dodgy place (took 4 weeks)
    Got car back, they had sprayed glue all over roof and seats, spray job was horrible, boot leaked..
    Call Aami 100009 times, they finally inspected it and said yes it all needs to be fixed and they would get the dodgy place to call us.
    1 month later no phone call, even though we tried calling 1000 times as our car smells like something died due to leaking boot. Then someone rear ends us while stopped at red light!!!!
    Another call to aami who say they can't inspect it for a month, we go crazy mad because we are STILL waiting for it to be fixed from October and it's now February!. Aami say they will inspect it following day.
    They inspect and send it straight back to dodgy place so they can fix new and old damage.
    1 week later get car back, car has not been cleaned, glue has just been picked off and left horrible greasy marks on our roof and seats and the boot DOES NOT CLOSE!!! It's been raining and yea that's right, car smells like dead animal AGAIN!!
    Take it to aami first thing this morning and they said "not their problem, take it back to dodgy place, nothing we can do!!,
    DH was on hold to them for over an hour because he was SO angry our local place think its not their blooming problem!! DH had to go to work and hang up..

    So please help what do we do? Where do we stand? Aami have been horrible, rude and a absolute nightmare to deal with from day one.
    We are so over this crap we are actually going to sell our car because we are so sick of the sight of it (we only got it 3 weeks before first crash in October!!!)

    Help help help!!!!!

    speak to the ombudsman...they will get it sorted

    fair trade would be another one i would call

    Could you get in touch with fair trading or whoever it is in your state? Theyd probably be able to help, or at least point you in the right direction

    Try going to the insurance ombudsman, before you call get all your facts in order like when exactly you called, who you spoke to if you know etc. you pay your premium, they sent you to dodgy brothers and they are responsible. It really sucks and I'm sorry your going through this, they are always happy to take your money but then don't follow through! Grrrr

    I have no idea an that is so unfair for you guys to go through that!!! Could you call consumer affairs or anything like that? See if there is something that can be done on aami's behalf that ensures your vehicle is repaired properly and efficiently?

    Thanks, because it's been going on for so long we don't have exact dates and names. But we have an awful lot of approximates as it feels like we have been calling them non stop for 4 months. I can't wait till its sorted so we can change insurance company!!

    Jeepers. Sounds rough! We're with Swann and when we got backed into in Jan, everything has gone really smoothly. We avoided that main place that everyone seems to go to as we were warned against them, is that where you went? Something to do with 'guys' ?

    I'd be calling the ombudsman or whoever you can. Surely your insurance company has a responsibility to you to ensure your car is properly repaired. Isn't that the point of insurance? So that you don't end up paying for a dodgy job?!
