My son's school is $200 odd per year. That includes swimming lessons (they have a pool on the school site), all stationery, books, etc.

We make lots of donations throughout the year for events such as excursions, charity, bbq days etc.

I don't think I've received a bill yet this year actually... thanks for reminding me!

My children aren't in school yet, but I'm a primary school teacher. We don't charge anything. We supply all stationery, workbooks (we don't use text books) but the children have to pay for excursions, camps, sport on Fridays if they use the bus.

DD was at a public school last year and it was about $280. This did not include excursions during the year and you had to pay before school started as payment released the text books and school supplies your child used during the year.

$140 for kindy- $40 contributions, $80 for incursions & excursions, $20 for technology and library fund. That's for kindy, it's an extra $35 for PP-7 because they do swimming.

150 school fees. This does not include excursions etc. My estimate would be 400 a year, but a little more this year as he has a school camp.
