    Default Gynae estimated fees

    Hi,
I have just been diagnosed with PCOS and am due for my 1st gynae visit in a month. Just wondering how much their fees are as I am not sure if my private health is covering this particular service. Am visiting Wesley Specialist Clinic, QLD.

Just wanted to get a rough cost in my head before I reach there.
    Thanks

    Hiya!
Sorry you've been told you have PCOS. The PCOS support string is really great for info and advice. My first appointment was $270 then subsequent ones are $95, but scans etc are on top of that. Dont think PHI generally covers these costs, you will get some back from medicare though.

Ps. It would be interesting to see how these costs compare to what other people pay!

I am seeing a Fertility Specialist in May (next available!) and was quoted $210 for the initial, with about $70 back (not sure from Medicare or PHI). I am not sure about subsequent visits yet.
