Default Recommend a good GP in oatley/mortdale/hurstville or surround area

    Hi ladies,

Hoping one of you could help me out with a good gp. DH & I are moving to Oatley and we're hoping to find a good GP since we're new to the area. We have a little baby on the way so we're anxious to find a GP who would be good with baby, women's and general health issues. I'm not fussed about having to travel further out, and although bulk bill would help it's not as important as just finding a doctor who is attentive and knowledgeable.

Our current GP is in lower north shore who we've seen for years, and I'm so sad to have to leave him so hoping we'll find a good replacement.

It's really hard to find a GP who listens and is knowledgeable these days, and I've had enough runs of bad gps who have misdiagnosed illnesses or are to keen to conclude that whatever symptom you present must just be a common cold. So hoping someone out there who lives in the St George area might know of a good gp.

    Thanks ladies!

I live in mortdale and go to a GP in Oatley. It's called Healthplus, on Letitia st. Dr Magar is wonderful with kids. Dr Salonga is female and I go to her for all my girlie stuff.

They generally bulk bill for kids but for adults you need to pay, unless it's a follow-up and then it's bulk billed again.

Try them, I've lived in hurstville all my life and have been to heaps of GPs but these guys are great. Very friendly, kind and helpful.

I'm not sure if he is taking on new patients at the moment but Dr Sam Monaha at Mortdale Medical Practise is excellent. They bulk bill for children but DH and I have to pay.
