Default Allergic reaction - 25 weeks pregnant

Hi - I am having a allergic reaction to something I'm eating and getting little itchy welts on my body, is this dangerous? I've never been allergic to anything, is this dangerous? Help!

No, as long as there is no airway involvement, that your throat is not swelling, or younger. In which case ya need a hospital. Otherwise, go to a chemist in the morning and they can give you the appropriate antihistamine. Don't freak out unless you can't breathe! X

Oh No! Have you tried any antihistamines. Ask your chemist, there are some that are safe to use in pregnancy. can't remember the name but the chemist will have the up-to-date info.

Alternatively It might be PUPP - pruritic urticarial papules and placques of pregnancy. Basically an itchy rash that goes away after you have the baby.

Try oat baths - i found it really helped.

If you can't stand the itching or you have other allergic symptoms - unable to breath, swollen mouth, tongue..... Please get medical help

I had an allergic reaction to and was prescribed quaterzone tablets for a few days. My OB said its very normal is pregnancy as our skin is so much more sensitive- I've never had an allergic reaction to food before and we still don't know what it was from!
