Just thought I'd give an update.. hubby had first reversal back in June 2014 and it failed.. no sperm present.. he had 2nd reversal in August 2015... we just did our first test and he had 35 million good morphology but borderline motility. I'm hoping it doesn't decline, but we're going to bank some so we have options!

    Wish us luck!

Fingers crossed, great numbers!!! Let us know how you go, hopefully things just keep getting better! Our numbers dropped dramatically so we are going down the IVF route stating next year. With doing ICSI we have enough numbers for them to pick out the best sperm so our technical reversal success has done us well

Good luck Purity Rach! That's a great turn around! Hoping you see those pink lines very soon then!

Onedaymaybebaby wish you every success with ivf xoxo

Well I hadn't updated for a while, for those who don't remember my DH had his VR in Sep 2013. Started out good numbers but declined by 12 months and both Motility and morphology were never good. Started IVF ICSI this time last year, after FIVE cycles and an early MC we are now 18 weeks pregnant! I don't feel out of the woods yet, Couldn't find a HB on Doppler last week at GP appt, but I'm still keeping positive and have a scan next week

Don't give up ladies, TTC has been the hardest struggle I've ever faced emotionally but I know it will have been worth every heartache x

Hi, I know this is an old thread - where did you have your second reversal done?

Default Update, have moved to IVF/ICSI with TESE

Just a quick update, we had reversal done with no success (Dr Woolcott). Very upset as waiting12mths, but have moved on. Am about to start third cycle of IVF. My age is now 41 so getting nervous. Have also recently discovered have high Natural Killer cells so this round will be using immune protocol.
    Best of luck to everyone.

Wishing you all the best!!!!! We were lucky enough to get pregnant with my son 12 months after dh's reversal but after another 2 yrs we ended up going to IVF (ICSI) to get our next bubba. It worked first go and I'm currently 25weeks pregnant.

We had our second with Dr Woolcott. Numbers have rose to 148 million. Still not pregnant but able to bank a sample which is good

The only thing that I isn't good is morphology which is like 2.5%? Fingers crossed it improves (or works) !

Hi ladies we had one unsuccessful reversal end of 2014 and now three failed ivf cycles using TESE sorry. I'm older at 41.5 so that's the main issue but frustrated we can't try naturally.

We are considering a second reversal with Dr Chris Lekich, but it's bloody expensive.

Has anyone gone to him for second reversal?

Love to know your honest views / ideas? Thanks

    Hi ange1111,

Sorry to hear things haven't worked out so far.

Do you have any answers as to why the reversal didn't work?
If it were me, i would ask the Dr if a second reversal would give a different outcome, or would the same problem that caused the first to fail arise again.
Have you looked at different ivf clinics instead? Maybe a change in treatment/medication, protocols and a new fertility specialist for the ivf/icsi may be helpful?
Are you taking any supplements like menevit and coq10 (ubiquinol) for egg quality.
