My hubby has had a vas reversal and when we tested they said he had antibodies in his sperm although it was not impossible the chances of conceiving naturally were not great. They said to try for 6 months and if no luck try IVF.
We didn't want to do IVF at this stage of our life so we just kept at is for a year and I'm not 19 weeks pregnant with our beautiful baby girl! My first pregnancy and everything has gone along smoothly. The day I found out I was pregnant I changed my ringtone to the 90s hit "Dreams can come true."
Baby dust, love, best wishes and luck to you all xxx
That's awesome monkey joy! Congratulations! We are very early stages, VR was in December last year so have been TTC since feb, 1st SA was ok but not amazing but we do have swimmers so we are happy! Hopefully the next SA shows even better results! Good luck with your pregnancy, love to hear stories like this x

So awesome monkey joy, so great to hear success stories.
We have been TTC for almost a year now but no luck yet. Hubby's reversal was in June last year.

    Default where to go

just wondering people's opinions on the metrocentre on the Gold Coast compared to a urologist in Brisbane called Peter Campbell? weighing up who to go to as far as vasectomy reversal. husband had vasectomy 17months ago and realises now it's a mistake.....

I'm so sorry Felicia 😞 I hope once the pressures of constant thinking through this process (cos let's face it that's what we all end up doing) ease that you get you BFP when you least expect it, thinking of you and big hugs! Take care of yourself x

Hi ladies, just updating, 6 month post op SA done and not good news for us 😞 while motility including forward progression has risen to almost normal, total count and morphology have dropped drastically, our urologist has told us to go to IVF. So we will be going down that path in the not too distant future we hope. We aren't upset by trying the reversal first, it's going to be easier on DF to provide a sample so that's great 😊 time will tell!

Thanks Felicia! Yep it's a bit of a bugger but we aren't too rocked by it surprisingly, I guess cos we haven't been trying that long!

Interesting reading, the results between 3 and 6 month seem some what reversed, it's bizarre! Interesting to note that DF hasn't been on Menevit for about 2 months now, he didn't really like the effects of it, I'm sure it couldn't cause that much of a change but we are definitely keen to get him started on something again!!

    3 MONTH POST OP
    Volume: 8 ml ( >1.5 )
    Motility: L 9 % ( >40 )
    Sperm concentration: 20 X10^6/ml ( >15 )
    Live spermatozoa: L 30 % ( >58 )
    Morphology (%Normal): 5 % ( >4 )
Insufficient number of motile spermatozoa to assess forward progression.

    6 MONTH POST OP
    Volume: 8 ml ( >1.5 )
    Motility: L 37 % ( >40 )
    Sperm concentration: L 4 X10^6/ml ( >15 )
    Forward progression: 39 % ( >32 )
    Live spermatozoa: 66 % ( >58 )
    Morphology (%Normal): L 1 % ( >4 )
