My 5yo never ever shuts up, he is doing our head in too. DD is 2 and is following the same path as her brother.

I asked our speechy who got my ds#1 to talk, to unfix him... She laughed and said every parent says that.

DD never stops asking questions, but she will never ever answer any of my questions. Eg:

Me: what did you do at school today?

DD: Oh I don't want to talk about that. Why did the queen want to give snow white a poison apple? Have you seen batman? Why do we have to have baths? But what would happen if we don't? Would we die?

My little man is very chatty also. But i love it. He says some really funny things, and some surprising things- like he's pretty wise for a 5 year old

I am guessing so. My 3yr old talks constantly (even talks in her sleep!! No joke!) My 7month old is starting to talk (baby babble) so I hear DD1 talking all the time and now DD2 has started the babababa dadadada ahahah...

    Never a quiet household anymore

I was just thinking the same thing. I'm sure I'll regret wishing DS could talk in a few years.
